International Espionage: Do the Ends Justify the Means?

The philosophical question is the most important question.

Why do something unjust, even if it's effective. Torture is a good example. We know it's not effective, but assuming it was, why do something that inhumane, in the service of humanity?

The essence of the thing itself becomes contradictory.

Philosophy is the study of wisdom. To ignore it is to ignore wisdom, knowledge, and advice itself. Espionage then also, in essence becomes, immoral, unjust, and simply wrong.
